The tournament joins the American and Australian Opens in utilizing replay technology.
Replay systems are set to arrive at The Championships this year.
Athletes will gain the right to question particular decisions made by the chair umpire, mirroring the system already in use at both the American Grand Slam and the Australian Open.
This technology will be operational on Centre Court and the number one court throughout the Championships and on the remaining featured courts when they are hosting singles contests.
This development follows just a year after the AELTC introduced electronic line calling, which effectively ended the centuries-old role of line judges.
Players will not be permitted to dispute the accuracy of the electronic line calling, but are allowed to request the official to review other decisions, including:
Notably, there will be no cap on the amount of reviews a player can initiate.
A recent case took place in Indian Wells recently, where Daniil Medvedev initiated the video challenge against Jack Draper.
Draper conceded it was a difficult situation for the umpire, but thought his opponent had "played the rules effectively."
The umpire viewed a replay and ruled the player was guilty of interference, granting the point to his opponent.
Video reviews aren't exclusive to major tournaments. It has been in use at the American major since 2023 and the Australian Open this year.
Additionally, it is increasingly prevalent on the women’s WTA Tour, and by the coming year the ATP circuit will have video reviews in place at all of its events.
A further innovation at The Championships this year involves the introduction of visual indicators on scoreboards to support the verbal announcements from the electronic line calling system.
This addresses situations where spectators have occasionally been uncertain whether a shot was in or out.
In other news, with exactly 100 days remaining until the start of the Championships, the AELTC have further announced an expansion in daily attendance at the qualifying competition in Roehampton.
