The Seattle Seahawks staged a stunning fightback to defeat the Rams in overtime, clinching their spot in the NFL play-offs.

Overcoming a sixteen-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks emerged victorious by a single point at home, notching their fifth consecutive win.

While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a playoff berth earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team secured their place to the play-offs after a 24-month absence.

With this result, the Seahawks have taken over their division's standings with a 12-3 mark, replacing the Los Angeles, who dropped to the number five playoff position with an eleven and four record.

Action Highlights

Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two picks but recovered to deliver two scoring throws, including the second TD to wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The Rams held a 13-7 advantage at the break before Walker broke free for a long scoring dash for the home side.

Los Angeles cornerback Wallace then took back Darnold's initial interception for 56 yards, setting up a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the fourth quarter, a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Nacua pushed the advantage to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed provided Seattle's comeback with a 58-yard punt return.

Darnold then connected with AJ Barner in the end zone, and a successful two-point play sent the contest into overtime.

Although Nacua raced in for his another touchdown in OT, Smith-Njigba answered in kind to set up the game-winning score.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba posted ninety-six yards and the crucial touchdown.
The young star now leads the league with over 1,500 yards for the season.
Nacua is runner-up with 1,367 yards, adding a personal-best two hundred twenty-five receiving yards on twelve catches in this game.
